Q: Do I need a partner to join?
A: Not at all! Many of our members come solo — our jams and events are a great place to meet rope-curious, friendly folks.
Q: What’s the difference between tuition and a private tying session?
A: Tuition is a hands-on learning session focused on technique. Private tying experiences are non-instructional and focus on connection, embodiment, and creative play.
Q: Can I cancel or change my membership?
A: Yes! Our memberships run on a flexible 28-day cycle. You can cancel or adjust your tier at any time before your next renewal.
Q: Is the studio accessible?
A: The studio is on the ground floor and we aim to make our space as inclusive and comfortable as possible. If you have specific access needs, just get in touch.

Private Tuition & Tying Session Exchange Policy
Members on the Lounge Legend tier receive one 2-hour private tuition session per 28-day cycle, included in their membership.
You are welcome to swap this tuition for a private tying experience instead — subject to availability and payment of the cost difference.
Please note:
Private tying experiences are a higher-value service than tuition. A top-up payment is required to cover the difference. You’ll be informed of this in advance.
Tuition sessions are educational and include coaching, demonstrations, and guided practice.
Tying experiences are non-instructional and focused on connection, embodiment, and creative expression.
All sessions are delivered by Bex Tatsunawa or/and alongside an approved Shibari Lounge team member.
Bex will only teach within the scope of her current knowledge and experience. Some advanced topics or suspensions may not be available — but you're always welcome to ask.
