Performance & Life Modelling — Bex
Performance and life modelling bring rope into shared space, shaped in real time and witnessed as it unfolds.
My work spans shibari performance, kinbaku demonstration, and life drawing, working both solo and alongside other artists. I work as a rigger, rope model, and self-tier.
In performance, the focus is often narrative-driven, exploring tension, pacing, and emotional tone as a piece develops. In life modelling, the emphasis shifts towards creating dynamic, visually engaging shapes while maintaining a performative presence for artists and observers.

Performance work ranges from intimate exchanges to structured pieces shaped around a space or brief. Some are quiet and minimal, others explore tension, endurance, or narrative progression.
Performances may be presented live for an audience, or created specifically for film, music videos, or art projects. I can rig, model, or self-tie depending on the context.
Formats include:
- Shibari / kinbaku performance
- Live performance for clubs, studios, and events
- Filmed work for music videos, film, and art projects
- Collaborative performance with other artists
- Narrative or durational piecesLife Modelling

I regularly model for shibari life drawing, figure drawing groups, and art-led sessions.
Poses focus on strong, readable shapes that hold interest over time. Rope may be used to create structure and tension, or sessions may be non-rope depending on the brief. The intention is to provide artists with clear composition while maintaining a sense of presence in the space.
Experience includes:
- Shibari life drawing sessions
- Figure drawing groups
- Rope-focused art workshops
- Photography-led study sessions
